Clunky shifts

I've noticed that when bike is cold the shifts are "clunky", after the bike gets warm it gets much better. I've only had the bike a little over 2 weeks and previous owner said its due for oil change, will that help?

Re: Clunky shifts

With 1st oil change I notice a great improvement in shifting-used the rotella 15w40 and k&n oil filter this time but probably go with the hiflo next time(11 bucks for the k&n)

Re: Clunky shifts

Fresh oil will always improve shifting. Oil breaks down in time due to the Shear forces of the gears.
