I actually just google image search based on an idea and roll with whatever I find amusing and on point at the same time. If it's good enough, I have a little personal folder on the desktop for future reference. But it's generally all just on the fly.

That being said, Imgur.com is a great way to find hilarity and other things used on other forums all over the world.
