The bags are great - just big enough for me to throw a pair of Fieldsheer pants in when things cool down at night. When I get another bike, I'll be getting saddlebags for it as well.

From the angles of the photos, it does look like they are resting on the exhaust pipe, but there's about half an inch of clearance. No scorch marks on the bags at all - there's just a little bit of soot but that wipes right off.

What make

What make / Brand are the Bags? Where did you get them and how do they fare in the rain?

They are Tourmaster Nylon Cruiser II bags. Haven't really ridden them in rain yet, but they do have an internal drawstring enclosure that helps to keep things on the inside dry. If you want I can take a picture of the inside of the bag.

My '06 is identical, minus the windshield... once I saw that gorgeous silver/light blue color, I had to have it. Diggin' the saddlebags too... I stole my husband's from his Suzuki Blvd before he traded in, but they're so huge they just dwarf my bike
