The hose to nowhere....

There is a small diameter hose (5/16'' OD) coming off the bottom of my carburetor that is about a foot long and drops down between the frame. The bike runs fine but I was wondering what purpose it serves? :??: It is not the hose from the air box. Thanks!

Re: The hose to nowhere....

The hose is for draining fuel out of the float chamber of the carbs. There is actually a screw that you can access on the right side of the carbs if you wanted to open it up and let the fuel drain out. It's usefully if you're taking the carbs off and don't want gas all over yourself.
