So tempting (V Max)
....but given I just bought the Vulcan and I likely don't quite have the skills yet to handle the V-Max, I have to pass. But still, an 85 V-Max for only $2,200 is awfully tempting. The cheapest I've seen in the Twin Cities area is typically around 3,250 to 3,500. Rochester is about 90 minutes from the Twin Cities.
http://rmn.craigslist.org/mcy/3179655953.html Just out of curiousity, what are the thoughts out there on the V-Max? Anyone ridden one and any thoughts on it? I've been attracted to them since I laid eyes on them. From what little I've read, these seem to be heavily customized in Europe.

Re: So tempting (V Max)
I too have been tempted to have a Vmax. The design/appearance of the bike is second to none in my mind. They are exactly what they appear to be. A massive engine held up by 2 wheels and meant to move you to warp speed in the blink of an eye. I think if I ever rode one I would be hooked.
According to a Vmax owner in this area the bike has a dandy following in Europe and a good to decent line of add-ons for travelling. I'm sure that would include a larger tank. |

Re: So tempting (V Max)
I had picked up a few magazines at the thrift store a month or two back. To my joy, one of them (Cycle World from January 2002) had an article on some of the customization over in Europe. Although I've like the V-Max for a while now, this one (see pic) by Andy Griffiths really caught my eye (it's the bottom red one). Saweeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Re: So tempting (V Max)
There seems something terribly wrong about making a trike out of a V-Max.
