Aha, I already thought so, asian + nurse + in USA + friendly = from Philippines !
Last year at my annual physical (for work) there was a nurse from the Philippines, she was an angel, I got such a great smile and a 'thank you' from her when I said 'Magandang umaga' !

Well again good luck with the class, I don't know if you ridden a motorcycle before but the "figures eight in the box" are the hardest. When you almost fall over, with the clutch squeezed in, give a little gas and have the clutch grip a bit, then the bike will pull up again.
And please let us know how the class went, thank you.

Then, on your bike, when I was new here someone wrote that when you get a bike with older tires, check then carefuly for cracks and replace them if the walls are cracked. But your bf probably knows everything about bikes and no doubt he will help you to get the bike ready for the road !
