The Day I Almost Got Killed in Cleveland National Forest

I'm trying to see if I can attract an audience with some True Stories of Motorcycling. I don't like my odds, but if *you* are feeling lucky, you may enjoy reading my latest Tale From Two Wheels. Don't worry, it has a happy ending. Sort of.

If you read it, (THANK YOU!) let me know what you think...

For those of you that don't care for reading, there are some awesome pictures of my electric blue Kawasaki as well as some nice vistas in Cleveland National Forest. And a pretty cool interactive Google Map to boot.

Another cool adventure in the Life of Alan. The expanded version is much better than the first thread about your first off-road injury free mishap. Always a pleasure to read your humorous words.

Thanks WW. I think I am out of material at this point. I guess I'm gonna have to go for another ride!

I would love to join you but you would have to camp in front of my hotel. A 2 or 3 day ride with you would be fun.

I'm finding it hard to decide on which of your many nuggest of wisdom should be added to my profile as a quote...

“Anybody from home know you’re out here?”

"As it happened, the driver was not trying to kill me, or at least if he was, he quickly changed his mind when he missed."

"It was here where I nearly shuffled off this mortal coil."

"Double motherf….!"

Johnny180,

There's a minority of scholars that claim the actual expression should be, " shuttled off this mortal coil" as in Loom Stuff From Way Back. They make a case that it makes more sense (as shuffle and coils do not really go together) and the shuffle was a typesetter's (copyist?) booboo.

Just thought your Lordship should be fully informed should you go with #3.

And thanks for reading my stuff!

-Alan.
