When I was working on non-standard mounting with a normal P&S camera, I taped a cotton ball over the mic so the wind would be cut out. It worked really well.

I think I finally did it. A better camera mount that is. Will find out tomorrow when Lynda and I go out to burn some precious fossil fuels on the highway. If it works pics will be forthcoming and maybe a few pics of the mount itself. Don't know why I didn't think of this earlier.

Can't wait to see it, WW. I just got a new Kodak Playsport and I'm trying to figure out how to mount it. The old fork mount transmits too much vibration into the vid. I picked up a couple of suction cups from Princess Auto and will try to fashion a tank mount over the weekend. Good luck, tomorrow!

Be sure to put a tether on the camera in case the suction cups let go.

oh yeah, I always have a tether! Even nuts and bolts loosen up, sometimes!
