Turn Signal
Today I noticed that my left turn signal blinks faster that it used to. Both front and rear lights function this way. The right turn signal does not do this it blinks at the normal slower rate. Has anyone experienced this before? Is it a faulty bulb or the turn signal module? :??: Any suggestions?

Update: I replaced all light bulbs, front and rear. It still does the same thing. :??: Looks like it may be the relay (I think thats what it's called). This little beauty goes for about $55.00. Any ideas on where to find them cheaper?

Wow, thats a lot of money for a flasher. Can it be tested somehow other than replacing it? Did you check the service manual?
If I had to replace this I think I would look for an after market replacement that does more than flash. Turning off the flasher with a timer might be a desirable thing. There are some around that do this. |

I never thought of that. I'll have to shop around, thanks for the tip.

Update: I was at the local MC shop looking at some goodies  and I mentioned the quick blinking turn signal to one of the guys there. Lucky me!! he told me that if the module was bad none of the signals would work. He said it had to be a bad ground at one of the terminals. Sooooo, I checked them out and behold problem solved. It appears that somehow a wire lost it's contact and that was causing the light to blink out of wack. :rawk:

Try the simple, cheap, and easy fixes first. Bad grounds can cause all all sorts of strange things to happen.
