New Bags, More Beer

So after a bit of messing around today, got the bags, supports and luggage rack to all play nice and sit well. Have about 1 inch clearance over the pipe, so alls good there. So from 48 beers in one trip to a nice even 72 beers can now be carried. I guess i could carry other things, but I figure a beer can is pretty much a universal male measurement.

Thanks to all of the info on mounting guys, again, world of help right here.[attachment=0:3ek69rfv]Image0218.jpg[/attachment:3ek69rfv]

I would put some sort of insulator below your right bag anyway, these things will sag after a while especially when loaded up with heavy beer cans. You don't want to lose them on the road falling out of the burned hole in the bottom of the bag.

Re: New Bags, More Beer

sorry to say, luggage rack came with the bike when i brought it, so i got no idea, as there is no markings on it to suggest branding. The bags already have a metal plate at the bottom (trick I gleaned from reading info about saddlebags here), so i can't see burning through or sagging being too much of an issue. But thanks, I'll spend a bit more time this weekend making sure that there is no propensity for failure of that magnitude.....I wouldn't want to loose any important cargo after all. :2tup:
