Daytona Biketoberfest

Anyone going? I have the weekend off so I might head over with some friends Saturday morning, taking all of the back roads and stopping every hour. Then we'd hang out in Daytona and ride back that night. I don't think it's going to be cold so this is probably my last opportunity to go to the beach before winter really sets in.

I've never been to a big biker fest thing before and it sounds like it might be fun. Plus, I hear you can buy cool bike stuff for cheap, such as gel seat pads. Plus, I'm really interested in all of the crazy choppers and weird people, hehehehe!

Talk about a learning experience. Take plenty of photos!! If you are'nt shy or timid you will have a great time.

p.s. NO drinking and riding.

I was thinking about having 1 or 2 beers (I think someone on here came up with the '# of beers = # of tires on the vehicle' rule) but the friends I am going with are members of AA. It's a lady I work with (my riding buddy) and some of her friends, so I probably won't drink around them. I would feel really rude. Either way I think we are going to park the bikes and walk around most of the day. Riding in all of that traffic doesn't sound like much fun.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll see my fair share of crazy drunk people trying to ride around. Don't a lot of girls put on leather bikinis and flash people or something? Stereotype probably but that's what I hear. (NOT GOING TO BE ME!) =P

I'll post pictures, I promise. (especially of any bikini chicks I come across, just for you guys. )

Re: Daytona Biketoberfest

You would'nt believe some of the stuff we've seen at the R.O.T. rally here in Austin. Most memorable was a nekid chic riding a sport bike in stilletto boots. A sight to behold.

Re: Daytona Biketoberfest

I like to joke that native Floridians are actually amphibious because we basically breathe 99% water vapor 1% air hehehe.

I actually want to move somewhere out west where it's hot a dry, but alas, 2+ more years of school before that can happen.
