DIY Luggage Rack

So, since I bought my new bike for a bargain basement price, I've been adding stuff to it to better suit my needs. I started off with some Mustang seats and a Jardine sissy bar I got off eBay. I wanted to get a luggage rack, too, but after looking at what they were wanting for a flimsy chrome luggage rack. Instead, I started looking for DIY options. I found some "plans" for a luggage rack made from aluminum angle stock. I made a trip down to Home Depot and bought $25 worth of aluminum angle stock and a variety of nuts, bolts, and washers. After a few hours work, most of which was spent walking from my shop to my bike to figure sizing, I came up with this:

What I love about this is that all you need are some basic woodworking tools. You could get by with a bench press and a hacksaw (though a band saw makes things much faster, easier, and straighter!). All in all it was pretty simple to make, and pretty darn cheap at about $30 in parts!
