Re: me and the oldest
Yes it was a knee jerk reaction and I set the tone for following comments from others. Sorry to have come on so strong but it just looks so wrong in my opinion. I(we) only have the girls welfare in mind.

Re: me and the oldest
Thanks for the offer Dupo! For the record it's Xanax, although you will probably get alprazolam (the generic) if you went to CVS for us. Actually, I think you probably meant to say Prozac or maybe even Valium. Xanax is anti-anxiety. It does chill you out a bit, but it's mostly to calm (over thinkers) down from panic/worry/freakout. Valium is more of a chiller-outer.
Right Doctor mrmld1? I agree with you that there is often a tone problem on here, and I may be part of it. I think Mr. Softie does the best job of dispensing advice without pissing people off. He has an excellent combination of authority and humility. Post on Softie!

Re: me and the oldest
I guess now wouldn't be a good time to mention anything about the wife and I riding naked, huh?

Note to self: Do NOT buy Adrian's seat if he parts the bike out.

Re: me and the oldest
Yo Phonix...
How old is the llittle Hell-Angle? Mine is 9, and she loves riding with me to school and back. It has to do with the boys in class falling over each other to eye the chick getting off the dark red GZ... I guess I'll need a gun and a couple of pit-bulls in a few years. About the protective clothing issue - I might be a newbee here, but I rode fast and hard over the last 25 years. so here is some info: Jeans would disintegrate and expose skin 3 feet after making contact with balcktop (at 30 mph) For the short ride (besided a helmet) gloves are a must - its the first part of a falling person to make contact. I love the knee and elobow protectors that the kids have anyway for the roller blades a skating - use them. Always keep in mind that the most dangerous mile is the one ahead of you. Dont beat yourself over a mistake you cant undo - just make sure you are safer next time. Ride safe and dont forget to smile |
