Highway 58, one of the road for the bikers
Hi, there.
Today I made some long trip, 420 miles. I had to take new one so that I could save time for freeway riding. I think that I saved freeway riding time about 1-2 hours at least. Highway 58. I really liked it. Road condition, scenery, environment, nature, and etc..... Everything is perfect for the riding. Today's weather also was perfect for me, warm, no wind, no hot sunshine..... Roads are mixed up shapes, very exiting experiences. Here are the explaination about roads.. From the start; from west to east pacific coast; 1. first start with country back ranch roads about 5 miles?? 2. then, gets little bit of twisty but not that hard to ride, 10-20 miles 3. now gets long straight road for a while, 10-20 miles (tried some high speed test... ha ha ha) 4. about end of stright road, road gets Roller Coast... ha ha ha, it's fun...really fun it goes up and deep down, and up/down .... 5. then road changes to smooth country back road, passes many ranches... to the end of 58 I really loved this road.... Today, there are some bikers, HD, Sports, and Crousers like me..... I tried to take many pictuers today, but I changed my mind.. just enjoy rideeeeee. If you take this road, you may find why ..... Even if just few photos (and without GZ), I like to share with you. That will be an even better ride in a month or two when the wildflowers are blooming! Let's do it again then. Also Hwy 58 going from Bakersfield east over the tehachapi Mtns might be a good one too. And Hwy 33 north out of Ventura up to Frazier Park is another one I want to ride.

And thanks for the information about SR 58. Let me try it there in couple of months again, with many good photos hopefully. Another one that I took today SR(State Route) 166, just bellow hwy. 58. And was O.K., good sceneries and excellent road conditions. However, it's hard to stop and take rest during the about 90 miles long ride. Many cages there and speeding....but was nice ride today, just one photo. ha ha ha Thanks again. BTW, I think that I took SR 33 already at rainy day. There might be a ride report here... with flooded road crossing photos. Yes, SR 33 is the one that I want to ride again under good weahter condition. Let me know when you ready to go there.....
