Possible Meet-N-Greet

Anyone interested in a meet/greet in Johnson City, TX to coincide with the Annual Pig Roast Rally, Oct 10-12. I have a connection there that can provide primitive to semi-primitive camping (no trailer/RV hookups avaialbe). Won't cost you anything but gas to get there, food, and entry to the rally. The camping site is free. PM me if interested.

Re: Possible Meet-N-Greet

Aw c'mon guys and gals, isn't anyone even slightly interested in this opportunity. I promise I don't really look like my picture over there. I shaved my head bald.

No you're doing it wrong. You're supposed to offer Free candy or kittens. j/k

I'd go but it's about 1100 miles from here to there. Then another 1100 miles back.
It'll probably be a while before I'm up for a ride like that.

Re: Possible Meet-N-Greet

I suspect there aren't many members remotely close enough to entice them in this direction. Florida, on the other hand, is crawling with members, relatively speaking. Maybe someone could organize an event over that way later, after hurricane season. i was hoping to encourage some long distance touring on these small bikes, but larger calibers are welcome. there is time, I still anticipate someone might try it.

Re: Possible Meet-N-Greet

I was looking at the location map the other and thinking of the same thing. We would need to make it a huge meet-n-greet though.

I think the best mid point for the majority of the members here would be somewhere in northern Arkansas or southern MO.
It would be a good long ride but we would get the highes turnout, as it wouldn't be 1000 miles in each direction, for most people.

We may need to work on something like that. I doubt there is anyway that we will all be able to ever meet each other, given our wide spread, so we'll have to do some mid point figuring.
