1999 gz250 not firing?
Hi thanks for having me in the group,I been trying to get my bike to fire,I've checked the footrest switch checked the clutch switch and on and off switch I took the stator cover off and oil came out I thought that might be the problem?but I read somewhere it suspose to be oil in there I getting power to everything lights horn everything just not firing?it has new coil and plug any help appreciated thanks

I dunno if you solved this problem by now or not.
Anyway, when I first bought my wife's 99, it wouldnt start either. no spark. Ended up being the kickstand switch even tho I checked it with a meter and was passing current thru. after trying a cdi and no help I brokedown and bought a new kickstand switch. That fixed it for me but not until I bolted it to the frame. its got to be grounded to the frame thru the switch body. Would not work just being plugged in holding it in my hand. ran me in circles a bit before figuring it out. May not be your problem but it fixed it for me. Good luck RK
