New forum member. Hello!

Hi everyone,

Wanted to introduce myself in a new thread. I purchased my GZ250 about 6 months ago (first bike), and I've been utilizing this forum as a non-member for a while now. The how-to's and troubleshooting walkthroughs have been particularly helpful, so thank you for that!

Pleasure to be a part of this forum community. Thanks,
Spiecks

Welcome to the forum, Spiecks. Glad you are making good use of our forum. Post pics of your "new to you" bike if you are so inclined, and tell us if/ or what you have planned in the way of mods. Enjoy and safe riding.

Thanks for the welcome. Attached a semi-recent photo.

The only "mod" planned for now is getting the valve clearance sorted, haha. I've been troubleshooting an annoying hard-starting and stalling issue lately, and I think it's a valve clearance issue.
After an initial adjustment, the bike is once again idling (instead of stalling out unless I hold the throttle open), but it is still hard-starting, stalling intermittently, and fairly clacky (exhaust valves sound like they're on the looser side).

I've been leveraging the troubleshooting section along with the service manual, but I may open a separate thread if I still can't resolve the issue. Certainly learning a lot, though!
