New Motorcycle And Rider!!

Hello All,

I have been reading some of the great posts on this forum that has helped me a great deal as a new rider and new Motorcycle owner. My new motorcycle is a 1999 GZ250 that is in decent shape considering the age. It runs a little rough but has gotten better since I took the carburetor apart and cleaned it. The tank had a ton of sediment in it as well that was removed. Other than that a new front tire and my riding course I'll be on the road!!

Add a little Seafoam into the tank and it will help clean some of that crap out. Happy and safe riding. Enjoy your new bike. You picked a good one to start out with.

Thanks!! I cleaned the tank, ran 2.5oz of Seafoam along with a full tank of 93 octane. replaced the plug today and it runs like a champ now!. Warm idle is about 1250.

Welcome jakeys. As you just found out, a little TLC does wonders for the GZ. Ride safe, ride often.
