Bike Died mid Ride, Now wont start

Hi Everyone,

First post but have been reading for awhile. Quick question, my GZ died on me this morning mid ride at a stop light. It started rough when I started the ride, it would rev high and then low right when I started and tried to give it gas.

Background: I recently took the tank off to repaint it, and put it bank on and ran for a day on primer. When I took primer off is when I started running well yesterday. When it conked out today, i put primer back on and even that didnt help.

Any ideas?

Check if vacum line on back of petcock is secured. Check spark plug.(is it soaked with gas?) Did you leave the petcock on prime overnight? If so, check oil level. (gas in oil) When you had tank off, did you check the screens in the petcock?
