Hey just purchased my bike last night

Location: North Texas

I purchased a motorcycle yesterday been saving for it for-ev-er. Only gave 1200 for it!

The guy just had it serviced at the Suzuki shop end of march.

I'll be taking my Motorcycle Safety Course Next weekend and taking the written test part shortly afterwards for my liscense

at 60mpg this thing sips on gas...

yes it's only a 250cc but it's my first bike and i won't be doing very much highway driving and it goes plenty fast for me right now 55-65 is fast as i care to go... i've vowed to keep it for a year till next summer... then i may trade it in for something a little more big

the handlebars, seat, footpegs, handles, and paint were changed to aftermarket by the first owner.

pics are from the previous owner

Taking it in Hurst it's like 2 miles from my apartment.

I'm a complete beginner it's been a while since i've been on a dirtbike. Besides this is really completely different than that. Only thing in common are the basic controlls really it feels completely different. I circled the apartments a few times last night.

Can't wait to get my liscense and get learned so I can start riding the thing... i'm so excited man... maybe we can hook up and go for a cruise in the near futurre

sure...i am also waiting to complete my training and get the license. I didn't buy the bike as of now but that will be the first thing on my list once i get the license. I would be buying gz asap.

Did you buy helmet and gloves for the training? And also do we need a learners permit to take this training?

there are some online sites too which sell leather like jackets for relatively cheaper... found leatherup.com in one of the threads and saw some good deals there...but i am little skeptical about online purchasing...but people do get good deals....

woot... i got my jacket, helmet, gloves last night... and stayed under the 250.00 mark

even went and got a quote from my insurance... today i'll seal the deal on that maybe... i think i need to check around i was quoted 28.00 a month (i think) for full coverage.

I ended up wearing the helmet around the store and house last night... my wife was laughing at me playing with the vents infront of the fan on full blast.

I need to get some batteries in the camers and i'll take a pic...

not sure on the bags... maybe replace the back seat with some kind of "trunk/box" ... seriously thinking about doing ammo boxes for the extra tool kit i'll be carrying and the clear lense for my helmet. wife is expecting another expense for it...
