Are you typing this on a smart phone??
Is English your first language?? Will the bike run long enough to set the idle with the white knob?

Re: gz 250 wont rev up
After a good cleaning, you're going to need to set your idle again, like JWR just mentioned.
Were all of the standard jets retained? I mean, nothing was changed from stock, right? Check your throttle cable tension and your choke cable. Make sure they aren't hanging somewhere. That was the hardest read of my life. Periods are your friend. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Re: gz 250 wont rev up
sorry about the spelling an the bad punction im dislexic so sorry. well any way with no thotel on it, it does the same thing. also with the thotel screw backed out it still does it with it not tuching. aslo the mixer screw it does not make any difference were it is. it does not change at all. with the choke brass pice off an just stuck in the choke hole then with the choke screwed in u have a quater of the thotel. but there is no air leaks, so its got to do some thing with the carb right

Re: gz 250 wont rev up
Matt, if you play with the idle set and the throttle screw too much it can be hard to get them back to where they should be once your carb is healthy.
Has the bike been sitting for a long time? Are you just breaking it out for the Spring? If so, you need to give the carb a good cleaning. If you didn't drain the gas or treat it with something before storing it, the carb will have varnished and is likely the cause of this whole issue. |
