Stalling/dying issues.
I unfortunately have had a problem whenever I go above 40-50 mph the engine kicks and dies. It's hard to explain since I'm still fairly new at this so I'm not sure what to list as symptoms so I hope you can bear with me.

Re: Stalling/dying issues.
Does the bike run fine at lower speeds? Or does it buck occasionally? Is the idle stable? Any trouble starting?

Re: Stalling/dying issues.
She runs fine at lower speeds, the idle is fine, and she starts like a dream but it does start to buck before it stalls. Also when i restart it I have to prime it in order for start and when it starts up it backfires any ideas?

Ride the bike while in the PRIME position.

Re: Stalling/dying issues.
Anyway sorry it took so long but I took it to get looked at and someone screwed up my carburetor below is the sheet I got when I paid for repairs. Posting this reply for the sake of people who might have the same problem and also a reminder that if you don't know what the hell your doing take it to a mechanic.

Re: Stalling/dying issues.
The joys of buying a used bike. At least the shop did a fairly comprehensive check and test rides. Might be a good shop to keep in mind when another issue pops up that you don't want to handle yourself. A decent shop is hard to find in many cases. It is a pity because the shops/dealers are just cutting their own throats by not spending a little extra time to really find the issue.
