Hey guys my name is Sam. At 20 years old this is my first time riding a motorcycle so any advice would be much appreciated. I just uploaded some pics of my bike on another post if you want to check it out. Thanks

Re: New rider. First bike
welcome to the forum. First bike... how exciting. Now do it right, get into a MSF class and get good riding gear. Others will be along to recommend reading material that is very very helpfull.
The GZ is a great bike. Ride safe.

Welcome Sam. Glad to have you join us. Recommended reading is easy. Beg, borrow or steal a copy of Proficient Motorcyling by David Hough. Or maybe just buy a copy, they are cheap and the best insurance you will ever have in your riding career. A proper riding course with professional instructors is highly recommended as soon as possible. Safety on 2 wheels is a must and being armed with proper training and practiced skills will keep you upright and safe.

Re: New rider. First bike
Yes, take a safety course, and buy that book. Its no joke on a bike when you suddenly have to make a quick decision or a quick move with the bike when you never did it before. You may not get a second chance. I just got done with just my second season of riding, never rode before in my life, and im 41 yrs old. That book, and safety course and this forum was unbelievably helpful to me. You have to take riding serious. Good luck and ride safe.

As has been mentioned, take the MSF BRC (Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course) and get ahold of the book. It's the best investment in your safety you can make. Ride safe.
