Sunday ride

Took a ride today to Blackwater River State Park. Did a big circle down Hwy 98 from Fort Walton Beach to Navarre, then North on Hwy 87 to Milton (Hwy 90) and East on Hwy 90 to Holt and the Park. Continued East on 90 to Antioch Rd outside Crestview, took it to Hwy 85 and South back to FWB. Coming by Eglin Air Force Base, I stopped and shot a picture of my bike next to an HC-130 gun ship. According to the trip meter and my sore backside I rode about 110 miles, Google maps says 87 miles.

Next trip I will take better pictures.

Re: Sunday ride

I do like your Sunday ride. Looks just about perfect. Nice 2 lanes roads and just right weather. I am glad to see the gun ship included as it represents the freedom to take that Sunday ride. Freedom comes at a high cost and should never be forgotten by those who enjoy it. A tip of the hat to any and all who have served.

I think the pics are great! So, at what mileage did your rear end tell you the trip was too long?

1415 miles 4 days.

Longest day was 418 miles on a 45 mph road.

The seat is not so bad after you become numb.
