Front brake issue
good morning all,
I changed my brakes, front and rear, last week. After doing so, when using the front brake I get and extreamly loud squeal. Its not a squeal you get from when your brakes get low on pad, its loud hurt your ears loud. The brakes work fine at high speeds, but when I get to 15mph or lower they turn into the banshe. Any ideas what would cause this? thanks. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Re: Front brake issue
Do the brakes also grab really hard at low speeds?
I know it sounds silly, but you may have put one of the pads in backwards. Stranger things have happened. Pull the pads again, make sure mating surfaces are clean, and lube the little slides (if there are any on this bike. It's been a long time.) |

Re: Front brake issue
Did you keep the pad's shims?
Those help to keep the pads from squealing...
