Relay and flooding
I was trying to fix my turn signals and I traced the problem down to the relay . my first question is if all relays are the same for the gz250 I see this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/99-SUZUKI-GZ-25 ... 105wt_1110 out of a 1999 but this site http://motorcycleproducts.co.uk/catalog ... 22946.html
makes me wonder if they not all the same my bike is a 2003. second Q after messing with the relay my bike wont fire it cranks has spark and seems to get gas (good times) could a relay also do that? Thanks in advance sages of the gzforum Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Re: Relay and other woes
Whoa.....Hold off buying that relay until you've proven that it's faulty. It could be a loose connection, or a hundred other things.
BTW, if it was running, then SUDDENLY refused to run, it's doubtful that it's the carb. If it's a fuel problem you usually get some warning, such as rough running, first. A sudden problem usually points to an electrical fault.

Re: Relay and other woes
Ya but the thing is I have spark and I am almost certain the relay is bad because my turn signals are bad and they come on when I hit wire the relay . In other words damn

Re: Relay and other woes
Also the kill switch and the kick stand switch would not allow the bike to even turn over which it does .

Re: Relay and other woes
Let's go back a few steps. What were your signals doing or not doing before you tried to fix them? Did you change the bulbs or anything of that sort?

Re: Relay and other woes
Ok guys when I got home last night I decided to look at my carb . there was a small puddle of gas at the bottom of the bike and then I found out the air box had a ton of gas in it.Pulled the carb cleaned it blew out the area between he float and the gas line I had to go to sleep before I put the carb back in. But when I get home tonight ill see if the leaking has stopped and this was just a flooding situation due to the float getting stuck.
WaterW my turn signals were not working and yes I cleaned the contacts in the switch after which the right one worked intermittently thanks alot guys |
