parts
my daughters boyfriend got really unlucky last night. He got in a slight fender bender and while waiting for the cops with a person that was, of course, uninsured. he needs some small parts for me to get him back on the road and of course needs them cheap. he had a pretty bad day because he got fired that same morning.
1. Headlight bucket 2. 7/8th handlebars of any sort. 3. right side cover 4. muffler 5. right footpegbrake lever assembly In any case i appreciate your time for looking at this. the best way to reach me is by email since this is the first time i have ever been on this page. I am well known on delphi forums if you want to check on me. I go by biscuit there and i am on the Vstar forum and road glide forums. My email is: krijay1976@gmail.com. I will also be checking back here if i can. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Re: parts
Regarding the footbrake - If it's not the whole thing that's damaged, just the brake pedal up at a higher angle than normal - you'll probably find that it's just the adjuster plate that holds the adjusting bolt (under the pedal arm) that's bent. It should be horizontal, with the bolt touching the brake lever. If the bike goes down, for some reason the plate seems to get bent. If this is the case, then you just need to remove the adjusting bolt, beat the plate horizontal with a heavy lump hammer, replace & adjust the bolt & locknut, & everything will be o.k. I found this out when I got sideswiped & the bike went down, then again when I applied the front brake with the bars turned at low speed, & the bike went down.

Re: parts
Thanks, he was not hurt to bad. Little bit of road rash. He did decide that being on a bike was not a good thing for him at this time. I happen to agree with him as he lacks maturity and the attention span it takes to not be killed on the road. I imagine he is going to turn the bike over to me and i will fix it up and either sell it or keep it for the other kids coming up to learn to ride on.

Re: parts
The young man in question may be somewhat immature but also wise enough not to get in over his head again. Good for him. :rawk:

Re: parts
FWIW I have a spare new front brake handle that once I got from someone to replace mine but it doesn't fit my bike, it has a round dial on with with numbers 1 2 3 4, I think to set the point where it starts braking, and mine doesn't have that, thus. If you want it (free) send me a PM.
