Front fender bolt sizes? (Or does anyone have a spare set?)
Hi folks, my wife and I removed her front fender to give it more of a rat bike look (looked pretty cool actually). Now she's ready to move up and wants to sell so we need to replace the fender, but I somehow lost the bolts (I had them taped to the fender in a plastic bag but we reorg'd the attic and they must've dropped off somewhere).
I've looked in the service manual and searched everywhere I can think of online, but I cannot find the size of the bolts I need to mount the front fender. Does anyone here know what the size is? Also, does anyone have a set of front fender bolts they're not using that they'd like to sell/donate? Thanks so much! -Bob & Renata

Why not go to your nearest hardware store. Take the fender, & they'll sell you 4 bolts for a few cents. Don't know the size offhand, but ALL Suzuki bolts are metric. If you dont want to take the fender, just measure the holes in it. That's the clearance size. :2tup:

Oh ok. I thought there was more to it like length and thread gap, etc, not just width. Although, I suppose I could easily take the bike and see if the clerk will let me try a few bolts. Thanks!

It's the standard 10mm head that you find on all metric bikes.
Pull one from under the seat and match that thread pattern to something at Home Depot/Lowes It's maybe 3/4 or 1" long. |
