speedo needle shaky

its been going on receintly, you have to pay attention to notice it but its defenely starting to wiggle a bit. im gonna pull the cable and lube it but i wanted to know if the speedo was cleanable? anyone ever took one apart? done it to my 83 maxim once and it workd

Sounds like the inner cable is starting to bind a bit. The only time I had a speedo needle bounce I lubed it with chain lube. Work great.

You might want to use Du Pont with Teflon. it is a great chain lube and works well on almost every part of a bike that needs lube.

thanks for your advice today i got some of the teflon lube and got the job done, no more needle jiggle
