Integrated Clear Tail Light
Anyone have one of these or know anything about them?
http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/1558 ... 65b0d6.jpg It has LED Lens and the Turn Signals are integrated within it so you can remove your Turn Signals or supplement them. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Re: Integrated Clear Tail Light
i bought one for my wifes gz. i like it alot. i had originally bought the led array version from ebay but the last one the seller had was broke when he went to ship it.
he sent me the regular bulb style( at no charge with an apology). i put an l.e.d. 1157 in. it seems to catch your eye better than the stock lens. this is the only pic i have of it. now i need clear signals to finish the look. |

advant63~
Thanks for replying and including a great picture. Good thing your Wife was properly dressed for M/C riding. If she'd been in shorts & flip flops this Thread would be on Page 3. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Re: Integrated Clear Tail Light
Do they have a red light inside? Aren't brake lights and rear lights, by law, supposed to be red?

Re: Integrated Clear Tail Light
The LEDs are red LEDs. They are made in a variety of colors for different applications. Ideally the red LED should be illuminating a red lens not a clear one. Same goes for amber signals on bikes. The 2 items, LEDs and lens should be the same color because you get the best light while marginally blocking other lightwave lenghts. That is why reds are redder, yellow is yellower and white is whiter.

this tail has a red lens moulded into it as it was intended to run the stock bulb. the drawback to that is the licence plate is illuminated in red also. i don't know if that is reason to be pulled over or deemed illegal. |

Are you sure about this? I keep seeing various turn signals, lenses and other stuff listed as being for either 1986-2003 and 2004-2011 on E-Bay. I'm not saying I don't believe you....just that I see 2003 and 2004 being listed as the demarcation between some type of lens change. :??: |
