ride to lake
I found a great way to get out of the city Sat morning. The road went through farm country for 20-25 miles 2 lanes paved with a posted speed limit of 80 km/h. I was the only one on the road. The sides were heavily tree lined which was great because the winds were NW 25-35 Km/h later changing to W 30-40 km/h. Lots of hills no problem 80-90 km/hr easily. Turned in from the highway toward the lake waved to 2 Harley boys with a big smile. I took a slow 30 km/hr drive for 25 kms around the lake. There were bikers and seniors walking girls jogging and some couples having picnics. I found 6 different little parks and beaches that are open to the public.
Here are some pics.

Sounds like you had a very relaxing ride there Mike. One of my favorite things to do is ride by water/streams/lakes/rivers. Finding them with great pull off spots is a total bonus.
We are planning an 80 mile ride up the delaware river very soon. Should be a great scenic ride. |
