The long ride to the Hemet DMV for my riding test
So i set out today from temecula to Hemet (about 40 miles round trip) to go to my scheduled riding test at the dmv. Passed the test! It was funny, because the ride there consists of mostly back highways with speed limits of 65 mph, and several signals along the way that make you practice downshifting. When i got to the testing area, the lady said to just try and keep my tire within the circle, but if it came out, she did not care, as their track "was not up to par" as she put it. Had a couple of mess ups due to there being NO ROOM at all to properly show up shifting and down shifting which when i asked if she wanted me to show those skills she said " oh yeah, i think you are supposed to do that" anyway, we joked about how i rode 20 miles to get to the test site and she signed me off as passing. Woohoo! first commute to work on the bike is tomorrow morning. :neener:
