Has Anyone Got Any Information On Engine Timing???????
Hi all,
I bought a 2000 GZ250 that was being sold for breaking and decided to bring the old girl back to life. She is stripped down and new parts bought and a complete paint job. I had to get a new piston, rings and gasket as the old one had sized I will be installing the new parts next week but I can’t find any information on how to time the engine after. When I rebuilt the engine of my Alpha Romeo 156 I was able to clamp the camshaft before removing the timing chain but I did not have this luxury on the GZ. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Re: Has Anyone Got Any Information On Engine Timing???????
Thanks Sarris, I Have The Manual Downloaded And Printed Off. It Was A Great Help When I Was Stripping The Bike Down. I’ve Gone Over The Section On Engine Re-Build And From 3-59 Although This Covers The Installation Of The Piston, Cylinder, Camshaft Etc It Doesn’t Mention Anything About Timing. When I Start The Re-Build I’ll Follow It Exactly Lining Up Everything As It Says And Hope That’s The Trick. Thanks Again.
