Quick oil change question!
Got the drain plug off and cap. Haven't pulled the filter cover off yet but was wondering whats the best way to drain the oil out of that drain plug on the side.
Also the fill level lens, should that be read when bike is upright or on the kick? ( I know its obvious, upright but just want to make sure ) Thanks in advance and yes I'm looking for a service manual. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

There is NO drain plug on the side. Removing the filter IS messy; I don't think there is any good way around it. Those questions should be answered in a users manual. There is a service manual available for download right here; users manual too.

That plug on the side is not for changing the oil.The drain is under the bike in the center of a plate with 3 bolts.Be careful as there are two plugs under the bike that look identical, you want the one toward the front. That plug on the side is used to take a oil pressure reading. You really need to download the manual.Oil level is read with the bike upright. :2tup: Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Re: Quick oil change question!
Never mind, rushin and not thinking again, figured it out. Carb clean, oil & filter, spark plug done. Just need to adjust the chain tension and it will be good to go for a while.
