Rode with Alan C. starting his trip
We cruised through LA before traffic got heavy and picked up Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica. The coast was overcast and I didn't take any beachy pictures. First stop was a Starbucks in Malibu.
Thought this sign was an interesting mix of things that could be purchased at Trancas Market next to the Starbucks. From Malibu we took some canyon roads up into the hills to the Rock Store on Mulholland Highway. It's a locally famous place where all sorts of bikers hang out, get a beer and a burger, and talk about their bikes. We didn't do any of that, but I DID get a sampling of Alan's piano skills. We went further up the coast, but I neglected to take any more pictures. I turned around in Oxnard (what kind of name is that for a city??) while Alan continued on his way. On the way back, the coast was sunny, but I didn't take any beachy pictures. That's it. Re: Rode with Alan C. starting his trip
Looks like a good start.
Always nice to have a send off ride.

From there I hit CA33. This has to be one of the classics. Was a little beat (got up at 5am to finish packing after I spent all day at weir canyon Honda) and I took a couple pics I'll upload when I get back and have access to a computer. From there I took 166 to Santa Maria and had a Starbucks with my daughter and her boyfriend. Then down to buellton to set up camp and a ginormoys rv park . Went out after I set up my tent and played Another piano at Sunrise coffee. Having a quesadilla and charging my phone right now. 335 miles today and two pianos.
