gear calculator
I submitted the bike's specs to this online gear calculator http://www.gearingcommander.com/.
It's listed under Suzuki GZ 250 2003. Note that if you edit M.P.RPM to be 10000 the results are more cosmetic, if unattainable. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

At that gearing site, just select the bike (Suzuki - GZ - 2003 GZ 250), and then... :techy: click "load gearing" :2tup:
That will fill the tables with the data that pbro entered, and you can vary the data (for instance, sprockets) and look at the results. Those 10,000 rpm... are indeed unattainable  Our engines redline at 9,000, AFAIK.

Can you get an 18-tooth front sprocket? Never heard of anyone having more than 16 - would the bike just have no torque left what so ever?

I highly doubt there is enough room under the front sprocket cover to house a 18 tooth sprocket with the chain wrapped around it.
