headlight hi/low switch

so took the assembly apart the other day for the choke cable. the previous owner/s for some reason decided to cut the hi/low wires and tape them off?

trying to figure out why?

any thoughts?

I'am betting switch is bad so they spliced wires together to get headlight working.

Do you have any annual inspections? In England & Spain, in the annual inspection, both Hi & Low have to work or it's a fail.

Re: headlight hi/low switch

Annual inspections are not something common in North America. I did have to have an inspection of my car when I first moved to B.C. though. Couldn't get the plate or insurance without it. After that the car can be falling apart while you drive it and no one really cares.
