just back

Hello in case you missed my intro I'm Mike ( trykemike ) rode honda 50 cc cub ( won as a prize when I was 15 in 1965 ) . Then honda 125 cc twin . I hopped it up with over bore pistons and cam and velo stack and pipes. It would hit 80 mph ( 1967 ). The honda cl350 33hp twin carbs top 95 mph. Blew head gasket cruising 2 up @ 75 mph toronto to niagara falls. Then no bikes until 1990-1995 moped 35 mph . The honda 125 cc 3 wheeler 4 speed and 2000 200 cc honda 3 wheeler 5 speed rebuilt motor. In the past I rebuilt the 350 motor top and bottom. I have rebuilt the 200 carb. I have set tappets on the 125 twin and ignition timing points . Did all oil changes and still do. Now for the street I purchased a 2002 GZ250 9000 kms. I am getting back into it now. FREEDOM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS I am from TORONTO CANADA.
PS thanks for the site and the tech info so far.

Welcome trykemike. Nice to have you join us here. Seems to be more and more returning riders popping up and riding bikes of all sizes. We have an 06 GZ250 and an 05 V-Strom 650. I returned to riding a couple years ago and Lynda is basically a newbie and enjoying her 250 to no end. Consider a motorcyle training course, it is the best way to get back into riding and riding safely. We are also a couple of Canadians on the left coast.

Welcome to the forum from Northeast Florida. the GZ250 is a great way to reaquaint yourself with riding again. I bet you will enjoy the high mpg considering the cost of gas nowdays especially north of the border.

Cheers!
