Re: Handlebar diameter

My wife has been riding a GZ250 with a SlipStreamer Spitfire windshield. This last weekend she bought a Honda 750 Aero. It has a 1" diameter handlebar. I think I am going to order a 1" adapter and switch the Spitfire to the Honda until I can find the right windshield for her. The Spitfire did a good job on the GZ and should do well on the Honda. Thanks for the info.

Re: Handlebar diameter

Excellant idea. A little recycling of bike parts goes a long way. How long did your wife ride the GZ and are you keeping it ?

Re: Handlebar diameter

My wife rode the GZ about 4 months. I am a MSF Rider Coach and the 2005 GZ was one of the range bikes. It had 2500 miles on it when I bought it for her to see if she wanted to ride her own. She put 3500 miles on it in 4 months so I think she really likes riding. I am going to sell it. As you can imagine, it has been dropped serveral times. Looks good from about 5 feet away! It is a great bike and served her purpose. We had not intended to buy a new bike so soon but the Aero was such a good deal. I have a few people who are interested and if they decline I will put it on Craigslist. I paid $1000 for it and thats what I'm going to sell it for. I am hopeful someone else will enjoy it as much as she has.

Re: Handlebar diameter

Hopefully the GZ will go on to help another new rider gain experience and confidence.
