FS: 2008 Gz250 (Black) - $3000 obo

Hey everyone!

I have a 2008 GZ250 that I am looking to sell.

It has less than 800 miles on it. Had the scheduled maintenance done at 500 miles.

Has a couple scratches but other than that, it is in perfect condition.

Have to sell due to college costs. Looking for something in the neighborhood of $3000 or best offer.

I'll take some more pictures this week since the weather is beautiful and I might take it for a short drive.

I'm located in San Luis Obispo, California.

Best of luck sir, but, as is often posted on here - most members either already own a GZ or used to own one and have moved on. I think Craigslist is your best bet. If you get the 3K, let me know. I also have an '08 I'm thinking of selling. No scratches, but a lot more mileage.

Gee I just bought an '09 for $3,399.00 + Tax and License. (Mine depreciated at least 20% when I drove away) You're asking price + sales tax seems high.
Good Luck, hope you get a great offer!

No shipping, or assembly/safety check fees on the '09 NewGZ250?

Thank you for the kind words. I've posted it on craigslist and another local site. I figured I'd give it a shot here just in case someone was doing some research before purchasing a brand new bike and saw the ad.

You're probably right that it's priced a little high.

Since a brand new bike costs closer to $4000 with all the tax/license/shipping/assembly, I figured I would start the price at $3000 to see if anyone was interested since it's pretty darn close to new.

Thank you for your input tho. Enjoy your GZ! It's a great bike. :chop:

Nope that was an out the door price! They did try and add those fees when I was just ready to hand over the check!
Thought I got a good price, but after looking at Craigslist there are a of low mileage bikes out there, wish I bought one used.

Doherty,

Not sure if this theory is valid, but, if you are a gambling man, you might get a better price if you wait towards the end of the year. This is only if the supply of NEW GZ's runs out. If there is a glut, well, then you'll be in even worse shape. Last year, when the gas crisis hit, entry level bikes sold briskly and supplies were very tight by July. Honda Rebels were practically gone and GZ's were hard to find and dealers were marking up the remainders $1200-1500.

I'm going to guess that the crap economy has taken a bite out of sales and the supplies might be better this year. Plus gas is down. But you could have got 3K easy last August.

My understanding is that the bike manufacturers make x amount of models for a particular year and when they are gone, they are gone. If you catch that cycle at the right time, you can maximize your price.
