Re: How Hot is a GZ250 engine?

There are a lot of factors determining the temp after an hour of riding. City/highway riding, speed/stop an go riding all will affect the temp. The GZ will radiate more than enough heat to prevent meltdown. If you are concerned about the amount of heat coming off the engine when you stop after an hour of riding I would suggest leaving it alone to do it's job. That is what the cooling fins on the engine are there for. Never touch the exhaust system even after 5 minutes or running. The bike has a well proven engine so heat issues are very rare. If you are just curious then hopefully some one will chime in with an actual temp reading.
