Mah new ride.
...is probably not better than yours. But she's a beauty.
For my birthday, I decided I wanted to buy a motorcycle. So I looked around and found this: The guy selling it wasn't more than 30 minutes from my home town, so it was pretty easy to get there. I bought it for $1550. The insurance from Progressive costs $245 per year. I was paying almost $1200 per year driving my Mitsubishi 3000GT. I just completed a 155 mile trip from my home town back to my apartment. It cost me under $2 to drive that whole way. I did hit a little storm, but I pulled off at a trucker stop to wait it out, and it cleared up. I did get a little sun burnt though. Moar pictures! Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Re: Mah new ride.
Love the bike, think red is my favorite color. Mine came in one color this year. (Black) Kinda Boring! Second favorite color would of been blue.
Welcome on board! I think red bikes get better mileage and are faster! :??: |

Very nice! Love the red, and the nice little custom touches, like the side cover graphics. What is that, BTW? Can't tell on my laptop? Nice grips too. Are they foam? I was looking at some of those for my Virago.
Looks like the baffle was drilled out in the muffler too. Curious, how does it sound? Enjoy the new ride!

If you can get the right size for a snug fit, they are cheap, rugged and easily replaceable when they do wear out or get grungy.

Re: Mah new ride.
The foam slip-ons are known as Grip Puppies. Have them on the Vstrom. Like em a lot. Got mine from CaliforniaSportTouring but many riders just go hunting at bicycle shops for ones that will fit.

I got my grip covers thought my local MC dealer, for about $5, I think. Don't remember the brand. P.S. I still walk through the bike section of WallyWorld occasionally and sometimes find useful stuff really cheap.
