Central Illinois here

I've had my motorcycle endorsement for 2+ years now, and finally got the OK from my wife to buy a bike!!

I've picked up a 2005 GZ250 that will be delivered by the seller either tomorrow or Tuesday. I can't wait!!

I think I got a good deal on it. Paid (I guess I should say I will be paying as I haven't actually paid for it yet) $2k and it has 3300 miles on it with lots of aftermarket extras. The owner has some pics, but once I have it in my possession, I will take some pics and post my own.

Looking forward to checking everything out on this site!!

Very cool! Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new bike. What did it take to get that ok? (you don't have to answer that)

More Illini. You guys are gonna catch up to the Californians and Floridians pretty soon.

Howdy, neighbor! Welcome and congrats. on the new ride!

What's your experience level? Pretty minimal, I'd guess.
Have you taken the MSF (State) course yet?

Another rider on here is in Bloomington and we've been thinking about setting up a meeting and maybe some day trips later in the summer. If you are interested, maybe we can set the meeting point in Decatur or Clinton.

Re: Central Illinois here

cnorman70, glad to have another Illini on board. :2tup: I visited my cousins a lot of summers growing up just south of Springfield. They live outside Glenarm. Waterskiing around Lake Springfield. Good times! Sounds like you got a good deal on your bike. Hope it serves you well. Welcome.

Hey Carol, you up for a meet in Decatur or Clinton sometime after it warms up a bit?

So far, we have (potential) 1-Champaign, 1-Springfield, 1 or 2 - Bloomington and 1- location unknown (you).

For the rest of us, that would be a 40 mile ride, more or less.

Sure! I work six days a week/ part time hours, but a Sunday would work for me. Sounds good.

Well I am relieved to hear that. Glad to see that you appear healthy; the same old smart-ass as always !! :neener:

We will have the last laugh though when the west coast moves over to about the Nevada state line. :poke2:
