DIY Tachometer Digital Ver. 1
Hello, there.
Here is the project for the bike tachometer, digital version. Today, finally finished working version, actually I adjusted my gz idle engine speed with it. However, I need some advice for the mounting this device....from you. There are another versions of tacho that I would post next time. Other versions are much more simpler than this version, less skill and parts are needed. Anyone interested about how to program PIC Microcontroller..... 1. Goooooogle first 2. need more info, let me know, I'll give you compiled hex file for you. 3. need pic programmer, Goooogle first, or send me PIC chip with return postage stamp, and I'll program chip for you.   just kidding, you can easily build one or buy one - less than 20 you can have I hope. Anyway, here are my drawings...

Re: DIY Tachometer Digital Ver. 1
Mount it in a water tight box and mount it with foam tape to any semi flat surface.
You could make a box pretty easy from lexan or plexiglass. PIC controllers look pretty interesting. I started out with vacume tubes and worked my way up to computers. |
