Ride in the rain, Hwy 33 and Lockwood Valley Rd. GPS, Photo

Weather forecast said possible rain at this weekend.
Yes, RAIN today here Los Angeles area.
I couldn't give up this weekend ride because of rain...
I made a decision to go ride out at Saturday, and prepared basic rain-gears at Friday afternoon.
These are them.
1. Rain suit (Jacket and Pants combo, from local bike dealer): $65
2. Water proof glove (from Ross, no near Wall Mart here): $13
3. Water proof boots (from Ross, no near Wall Mart hear): $33

In the morning, no rain yet but saw dark clouds in the sky; will be rain surely.
I packed the rain-gears at back seat bag and GO.......
When I was on the freeway, finally got a heavy rain.
Ha ha ha ha....
Exit at the next, and wore the rain lex suit and glove.
Amazingly, rain suit and boots work very very well, no a drop of rain was penetrated.
Even, it gives worm feeling for me, no winds are getting into it.

Today, I really want to report many things happend during the ride.
O.K........
Let me list them out briefly with main events, ha ha ha.
Trip Route: Los Angeles >> I-5 N. >> Hwy 126 W. >> Fillmore >> Santa Paula >> Hwy 150 N. >> Ojai >> Hwy 33 N. >> Lockwood Valley Rd. >> Frazier Park >> I-5 S. >> Los Angeles >> HOME

1. Fillmore: Got a heay rain, pouring down, so I had to stop and wait for rain stop.
I couldn't see road at all as my goggle does not have wiper..ha ha ha.
If I put out goggle, I could see well but can't open eye with heavy rain....

2. Ojai: After some long twisted road riding felt hungry, found a place where I could rest and for lunch.
Boccali's Pizza Pasta, got special hot Tomato soup and galic breads, it was a really good taste.
READY to go futher.

3. Hwy 33: pretty good road condition, high speed limit (55 mph), and no traffic at all (rain),
during the course I only saw two bikers.
many good sceneries however I couldn't take photos them as sporadic rain condition and worried my camera soaked.

4. Lockwood Valley Rd.: Road Flooded MUD (see photos how it was),
Do I have to back and use other road or risk my life!!!
How deep the water is???
Is road took apart under the mud water???
I couldn't decide.
About 5 min. later, a small SUV came after me, suv driver also worried to pass the mud flooded road.
He decided to go over slowly, and I told him that I will follow if you success... Ha ha ha...
He passed successfully and signed to me O.K. I also was looking how deep the mud flood is when he was passing through. And decided that I could go with GZ.
GO........Passed......successfully.
It wasn't fun though.
There are couple of more small flooded roads on the Lockwood Valley Rd.

6. Lockwood Valley Rd.: saw recent wild fire traces (see photos), but new life is come out from ground with green. amazing power of nature.

7. Back to home I-5 South: fortunately, no rains....

Today's trip is the greatest one among the my trips, and had many practical experiences.
I may not have similar bike trips often in the near future, but want to have more more...

Busy, you ROCK! I really enjoy seeing all the places you're going because they're places I can go too. And someday I will. Good on you for not letting the rain stop you.

Hello, Mr. Moedad!
Thanks for your comments always.
And pleased that you have enjoyed my reports.
I'll try to make some more imformative reports so that So. Cal Members can use them, if they wanted.
Creating a ride report isn't easy job as I thought. (It force me study writing skills << i'm not a native english)

I cleaned my GZ this morning, took couple of hours. ha ha ha.
And it looks clean now, but couldn't clean throughly. >> waiting for new rainy day to be cleaned by rain....
Riding in the rain was fun, but today, I had to make some nap  to recover the exhaustion which is caused by mental and body concentration during the ride I had to.

Did you modify your seat BusyWeb? I don't see any buttons! Great ride report as usual. Thanks for your efforts.

Hello, Mr. Softie.
I bought my GZ couple of months ago from a previous GZ250Bike.com member.
I didn't know that previous owner was a member of this site when I bought.
But one of the member told me that he noticed the modified seat which photo was posted here.
Um, anyway previous owner modified himself, and you may find it at how-to sections? (i forgot where??)
By the way, thanks for you comments.
Like your comments keep me continue this .
Otherwise I might have stopped it already and may not go ride out at weekend.... ha ha ha
I have to have some good incentive(???, self-satisfaction) or reason to continue.
One good reason is that riding gave me some positive effectiveness, refreshing me physically and mentally.
>> I guessed that why >> out of from whole noisy city environment, electro-magnet, and etc...
