2009 Suzuki Gladius
From what I am reading it has the engine from a SV650, they are releasing this and the TU250 for 2009.

Re: 2009 Suzuki Gladius
Looks like another parts bin special. Build a new bike with existing parts(mostly)and dress it up to look different. The engine is probably identical to the VStrom which was revised with lower HP than the SV 650. Still a potent bike with 60 odd ponies and decent handling if the factory did it right. Nice to see Suzuki catering to folks who don't want or need a monster engine and a full fairing just to get out for a ride. Now if Suzuki would just put that smooth little 650 into a mid sized cruiser they would really scare Yamaha and Honda.

I like the original Aprilia Shiver better.
 :snooze: (hey, the 'yawn' smiley is the 'snooze', they both don't work right)

Re: 2009 Suzuki Gladius
I've got 1300 miles on my V Star now. I've taken 3 trips over 200 miles on the Interstate and bike handles speeds of 70 to 80 mph just fine. Average range for fuel is a little over 170 miles and I've been getting 45 to 48 miles per gallon. Quite a drop from my GZ but man what a ride. I haven't topped it out yet but I have been up to 85 with plenty of throttle, it is very maneuverable on twisties. I would still like to see the 350's and 450's brought back, and it blows my mind that many think the 650 is a beginners bike. Ride on man
