Re: Good luck Louisiana with Gustav!
I live in Broussard Louisiana...Gustav will pass right over us as a cat. 2....winds up to 100 and gust up to 120....this isn't my first or last hurricane! But it might be the second worst I've been through. Sat through Camille with my parents as a child. It's just the tornadoes that scare me!!!!
I wont be online until electricity comes back on...3-7 days. We have a generator and food... Chat later....

Re: Good luck Louisiana with Gustav!
Know what you mean. I just moved from Houston area (God I miss it). I always hated the days after the hurricanes more than the storms. No AC, no water, stores empty, unbearable heat. Hope your hurricane kit is large and properly stocked. Hope you are not on the dirty side of the storm. Good luck.

Re: Good luck Louisiana with Gustav!
Well this sucker has parked over my location for 2 days now. Have been without ele. on and off. Flooding and a huge 75 to 100 year old tree down in yard. Two days of constant rain now. And on top of that I had a Colonoscopy today. What a pain in the ass! :jawdrop:

Re: Good luck Louisiana with Gustav!
I faired ok here in the direct path of the storm. Only had tree limbs and leaves down. We got lucky for this one! Houma is still without power and could be for 4-6 weeks....Gustav wasnt too bad. Now we must look out for IKE...
If anyone lives in Southern Florida...I hope you fair well for Ike. Is it November yet???? lol
