Reflective Vests
This is probably already in the forum somewhere, but does anyone have suggestions, comments, etc on reflective vests? .
You know being safe, but looking cool at the same time.

I don't know about vests, but the leather jacket I bought has a reflective strip built into the back and arms. during the day it just looks like a white/grey accent stripe, but in the dark if you hit it with a light it's bright as... as... heck (dunno if we're allowed to swear here  )
I can't remember the brand right now ('m at work, it's at home), but If I find a pic I'll post one.

Most jackets have some reflective piping stitched on, and they provide good protection. If you're looking to just boost your reflectivity at night, you can look for visibility products at the various apparel shops online.
Scorpion makes a very bright vest. I've seen this in a shop and it is f'n blinding. Also, unless you're opposed to the Army badge: Powertrip has a branded vest that's made strictly for visibility Icon has some here. Most of these can be worn over your existing jacket, so protection shouldn't be a problem.

IMO the best reflective vests are ones that are going to help you get seen both in high and low light situations...i.e., one that's a really bright color AND reflective. I picked up a Texport hi-viz vest at a local MC dealer and absolutely love it. It's almost exactly like the Icon Mil-Spec vest, just a little bit cheaper. Regardless of what jacket I'm wearing, I can throw it on and instantly add a lot of visibility. It has a cell-phone pocket on the chest, and a really nifty pocket on the lower back that I really like. Price was something around $40-$50, can't really remember as it was over a year ago.
A lot of jackets have reflective piping/stripes on them already, but it can't hurt to throw a vest on. I really like it 'cause even when wearing my black leather jacket I know that I'm very easy to spot moving along the roadway. In a previous post I had mentioned getting pulled over by a LEO once, and he remarked that the only reason he even saw me was because of my reflective vest.......can't get a more positive review than that IMO  Ride safe
