Windshields
I am looking for a windshield. Most ask for 7/8-1 in. handlebars. What part of the handle bar are they talking about?

Windshield
If you buy a handlebar mounted windshield, you'll need one for a 7/8" handlebar. The mounts usually connect via a clamp to the vertical part of the bar or the lower horizontal part.

Wind shields
I measured my handle bars they are more than than an inch around.
That's why I ask. I put a bid on a National cycle plexistar 2.I am hoping to win and slap that sucker on my bike...I would like some suggestions in case I don't win. Thank you guys for the input.
