And so do I. Looking back, I can see that I was, perhaps, misguided - not malicious. We all do things that in hindsight were not in the best possible taste - so let me again apologise to anyone I offended, although I still think it hilarious in the context in which it was posted, and I appreciate (now) that America has a completely different slant on humour & all things worldly.

BTW easy, I hope you remember your words (above) when you get stuck in to mouth off at the newbies  :2tup:

Re: I bought a new bike!

Alan, if you want to, you can edit that post and remove the picture. I will add that although I'm not sure what "offended" actually means sometimes, I wasn't expecting to see anything like that on this forum and I'd really prefer not to see it again.

Re: I bought a new bike!

After what you've just said, I've tried to remove it, but I don't seem to be able to make it go away. Again, sorry for my misplaced sense of humour (honestly, that's all it was)

If dupo or patrick can do anything with it, please do!

And that's uncalled for too.

I'll take my whacks when deserved but carrying grudges is not a pretty thing.

Most newbies deserve respect; a few don't.

Nobody "deserves" to be confronted with images like you posted.

Can you not EDIT the message or is it too old ??

I have genuinely tried to remove it, but it won't go away.

I have grovelled as much as I can over my MISPLACED SENSE OF HUMOUR. If I could go back a coupla days, I would gladly do so, but it just won't happen. Can we just put it behind us now, and accept my assurance that it won't happen again.

I've got friends all over the world (Canada, Australia, Germany, England etc) who send joke e-mails to each other. I received this one the other day, and as I took it in the manner in which it was sent (a joke) I GENUINELY didn't realise that it would offend. O.k. if you can't grasp that, but it was GENUINELY no more than thoughtlessness on my part. :??:

Re: I bought a new bike!

I didn't know there were so many prudes on here that would be so shocked or offended so much by that pic. You all made your point to Alantf, so now let it be and don't dwell on it anymore. He, and I guess others, got the message and the sentiment expressed by those who objected. now it's time to move on.

Probably the most shocking or disturbing thing about that image is that someone would actually pose for it.

Re: I bought a new bike!

I think we are ALL missing the real point here which is - who the hell is that guy, and for the love of Pete, what the HELL is he doing??? I can only assume he did that to himself...?

I have seen the people who put hooks in their backs and swing from them, and even hooks in the chest like in the movie "A Man Called Horse" - but what the heck is this? Do you have any background on the pic at all alan?

And bonehead - maybe we should ask "what the heck was he DRINKING?" Ha ha!

No, I got it in an e-mail from a mate in Australia, under the heading "do you think you're tough?"

When ww said that he hoped the fines worked, I just got the crazy idea of saying " well, if they don't work, this might" (i.e. string him up by his *****)

Didn't realize I was stirring up a hornets nest.
